In 1967, our facility opened as the Sophie Scholl nursery and Drushba kindergarten. Drushba is Russian and means friendship. That is why, in 1992, the entire daycare center was given the name Freundschaft (Friendship). Since 2001, the daycare center has been independently run by a parents' and educators' initiative. In 2017, we celebrated our 50th anniversary. The daycare center is located in the south of Cottbus and belongs to the Spremberger Vorstadt district. Conveniently located, our facility is easily accessible by public transportation, including bus and train.
